Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen it is the victory that overcomes the world. As Christians, our safety in this world lies in ever-increasing reliance and trust in our Heavenly Father. He’s our sustainer, comforter, and provider. The challenges of this world can push us to the wall and cause us to doubt God’s love for us but we should hold up to our faith and believe that regardless of the situation God is still in control and cares deeply for us, His Children.
What God has promised we can be sure that He is also able to perform. We only need to offer prayers of faith to Him, ask according to His will, and believe that He hears us and is able to answer us. God makes it clear in Mark 11:24 that our asking must be according to His will. If that condition is met, then the promise will not be unfulfilled.
For the pardon of sin, for healing, for the Holy Spirit, for Christlike temper, for wisdom and strength to do His work, for any gift He has promised, we may ask, then we are able to believe that we receive and return thanks to God.
